EL PASO, Texas -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection recruiters will be working hard this week and again in December to help members of the community navigate the federal hiring process. During the upcoming CBP hiring summits, recruiters will guide interested applicants through the CBP application process for CBP Officer, Border Patrol Agent, and Air and Marine Officer positions. CBP recruiters will deliver a day in the life presentation for each position, assist applicants with navigating through USAJOBS.gov, resume development and host a question and answer session.
The first two sessions are open to anyone in the community. They will be conducted at the University of Phoenix, Santa Teresa campus on November 17. There will be two sessions. The first is from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. The second session will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Space is limited so call 915-834-8848 or 915-730-7500 to reserve a spot.
In partnership with the Solider for Life – Transition Assistance Program Fort Bliss, CBP is also planning a pair of hiring summits for veterans and transitioning service members. The dates for those are November 18 and December 16, 2016. There will be two sessions daily from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. They will be held at the SFL-TAP Center, Bldg. 503, 2nd Floor, Rm 214 Pershing Road, Fort Bliss, Texas.
