CBP Encourages Use of NEXUS Lane at Highgate Springs, Vt. Port

HIGHGATE SPRINGS, Vt. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reminds the traveling public that the NEXUS lane at the Highgate Springs port of entry is available during specific hours, seven days a week.

The Highgate Springs NEXUS lane for U.S. bound traffic is available:

  • 6:30 to 8:30 a.m., seven days a week, and
  • 3 to 6 p.m. on Fridays.

Frequent cross-border travelers are encouraged to participate in the NEXUS program, which allows pre-screened, low-risk travelers to proceed with little or no delay into the United States and Canada. Travelers may apply online through CBP or the Canada Border Services Agency website. Additionally, NEXUS information is available toll-free at: 1-(866)-NEXUS 26 (1-866-639-8726).

The Port of Highgate Springs continuously monitors NEXUS lane usage and employs active lane management to meet traffic demands and ensure travelers have the shortest average wait time possible.

NEXUS provides more than 800,000 members expedited processing at dedicated lanes at the border, at NEXUS kiosks at preclearance airports in Canada, and at maritime reporting locations.
