CBP Del Rio Border Patrol Sector Agents Seize More Than 400 lbs. of Marijuana

Del Rio, Texas - U.S. Customs and Border Protection Eagle Pass Border Patrol agents recently seized more than $350,000 worth of marijuana.

On October 15, CBP Border Patrol agents assigned to the Eagle Pass Station conducted a vehicle stop on a 2003 Ford Taurus near the Rio Grande River. Further inspection revealed several bundles containing marijuana located on the front and rear seats. After a thorough search of the entire vehicle, additional bundles were found in the truck. A total of 446.8 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $357,000 was seized. The subject and narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
