Sumas, Wash. - The Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. Customs and Border Protection would like to advise that there will be ongoing construction delays from Feb. 21 to March 30 for travelers heading southbound on Highway 11 at the Abbotsford-Huntingdon/Sumas Crossing. Travelers are to anticipate delays as they enter the United States.
Wait time message boards for the southbound Highway 11 / Sumas may be non-operational for short durations between Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Friday, March 30, although the port of entry remains open and operational.
Travelers should pay special attention to signage as they approach the border and follow directions given by onsite traffic management personnel. In particular, recreational vehicle traffic should pay attention to temporary signage as they approach the border.
