NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Rainbow Bridge arrested a man today, wanted for murder in Florida.
CBP officers encountered Annasto Bryan, a 31-year old male, U.S. citizen, who was in the custody of Canada Border Services Agency officers. Secondary inspection record checks revealed that Bryan was wanted in Osceola County, Fla., for murder.
CBP confirmed the arrest warrant with the Osceola Sheriff’s Department. Bryan was arrested and turned over to the Niagara Falls Police Department to face extradition to Florida.
“We continue to work closely all law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of our citizens. These partnerships are essential in ensuring wanted subjects are turned over to proper authorities,” said Acting Port Director Cary Frieling. “Our strong working relationships with our border security partners in Canada ensured that this wanted criminal will face justice in Florida.”
