CBP Announces SENTRI Program Application Event

San Luis, Ariz. - Anyone desiring to participate in one of U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Trusted Traveler Programs is invited to attend a free SENTRI Application Fair to complete the first step in the application process. The fair will be held Monday, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., at the Fernando Padilla Community Center located at 800 Juan Sanchez Blvd. in San Luis.

Trusted Traveler Programs include Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI), Free and Secure Trade (FAST), and Global Entry. The SENTRI program, started in 1995, provides expedited travel to approved members traveling from Mexico to the United States using dedicated vehicle and pedestrian lanes.

CBP, in partnership with the cities of San Luis and Yuma, Yuma Private Industry Council, and Campesinos Sin Frontera, will provide computers and assistance to attendees wishing to apply during the event.

Please bring the following items for the SENTRI application process:

  • Proof of Citizenship/Residency/Immigration status (e.g. U.S. Passport, Lawful Permanent Resident, DSP-150 documents, etc.)
  • Address history for the last five years
  • Employment history for the last five years
  • Vehicle registration (if registering a vehicle)
  • $25 application fee
  • Personal e-mail address
