Del Rio, Texas — U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to Carrizo Springs Station apprehended a convicted sex offender on Tuesday.
Agents working linewatch duties near the intersection of FM186 and FM3252 near Carrizo Springs apprehended Victor Francisco Arzu-Norales, 31, an undocumented immigrant from Honduras. During processing, agents discovered that Arzu-Norales had been convicted in Concord, N.H. for felonious sexual assault and was sentenced to 12 months incarceration. Arzu-Norales was also arrested twice by Boston Police Department for failing to register as a sex offender. Arzu-Norales was deported on Nov. 23, 2012.
Arzu-Norales faces a charge of illegal re-entry – 8 USC 1326 – and his prior order of removal will be reinstated.
