PORT HURON, Mich. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Blue Water Bridge made several arrests and narcotics seizures over the Labor Day weekend.

On September 3, a male U.S. citizen was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant out of Canton, Mich for embezzlement. On September 4, a male U.S. citizen was arrested for possession of various drugs including Xanax and marijuana. Earlier in the day, an express mail package was intercepted that contained 1.54 lbs. of marijuana concealed in a child car seat.
On September 5, a seizure of anabolic steroids resulted in the misdemeanor arrest of a Canadian citizen and U.S. resident. All violators were turned over to local authorities.
“Every drug seizure regardless of its size, keeps illicit narcotics from the community.” said Port Director Andrew Douglas. “I am proud of our officer’s hard work, attention to detail and diligence during this busy holiday weekend.”
All defendants in criminal proceedings are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
