Border Patrol Locates Man from a Silver Alert

Release Date

TUCSON, Ariz. – A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent located a man who was reported missing through a Silver Alert.

Early this morning, a Border Patrol agent encountered a vehicle near Three Points. The agent requested a vehicle registration check and was informed of an Attempt to Locate Silver Alert from the Tucson Police Department.

The agent subsequently identified the driver as the missing individual from the Silver Alert.  The man was disoriented, but in good physical condition and did not require emergency medical assistance. Agents remained with the subject until Tucson Police Department arrived to pick him up.

In addition to enforcing immigration laws, Border Patrol agents often respond to requests for assistance from local law enforcement to enhance public safety in communities across southern Ariz.

Customs and Border Protection welcomes assistance from the community. Citizens can report suspicious activity to the Border Patrol by calling 1-877-872-7435 toll free. All calls will be answered and remain anonymous.
