EL CENTRO, CALIF—On Saturday afternoon, El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a man who was previously convicted for Gross Vehicular Manslaughter while intoxicated.
The arrest occurred at approximately 1 p.m., when agents from El Centro Station encountered a 30- year-old male wandering outside the El Centro Station. After questioning, the man admitted to have entered the United States illegally. He was then placed under arrest.
Agents subsequently discovered that the man, a national of Guatemala, had a criminal conviction in Los Angeles.
The man will be presented for prosecution and then deported to his country of origin.
