Border Patrol Agents Arrest an Undocumented Immigrant from El Salvador Convicted of Indecency with a Child

LAREDO, Texas – Wednesday, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Hebbronville Station apprehended a subject previously convicted of Indecency with a Child, Sexual Contact.   

Agents from the Hebbronville Station patrolling their assigned duties when they encountered a undocumented immigrant. During processing, it was learned through record checks that the male subject, 58, from El Salvador, had been charged and convicted in 2007 for Indecency with a Child, Sexual Contact  in Huntsville, Texas, and sentenced to 8 years confinement and is a registered sex offender currently on parole from the state of Texas. 

The subject is an aggravated felon and will be processed for re-entry into the United States (8 USC 1326) and will be presented in Magistrate Court in Laredo, Texas.    

The Laredo Border Patrol Sector is part of the South Texas Campaign, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations.
