BLOOMINGTON, Texas – U.S. Border Patrol agents assisted the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO) in arresting a criminal illegal alien.
Tuesday morning, the VCSO contacted the Corpus Christi Border Patrol Station and requested assistance in locating multiple subjects who fled during a vehicle stop. The agent and deputies set up a perimeter of the area and, after an exhaustive search, VCSO deputies located three male subjects.
During a subsequent interview of the subjects, agents determined two Mexican nationals and a Guatemalan national were in the county illegally. Agents transported the men to the station for processing. Record checks revealed one of the Mexican nationals was previously arrested and convicted in Georgia for statutory rape. The presiding judge sentenced the man to six months confinement and seven years probation.
Border Patrol is processing the men accordingly.
