ALPINE, TX--Flight crews from El Paso Air and Marine Operations (AMO), Alpine Air Unit, are conducting additional aerial searches this week for a missing Sul Ross State University student who disappeared early on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
AMO has been dispatching AS-350 helicopter aircrews in Alpine and surrounding areas within Brewster and Presidio counties since college student Zuzu Verk went missing last week.
Alpine Air Interdiction and Aviation Enforcement Agents are part of the community-wide campaign to locate the missing student.
Representatives from Alpine AMO participate in daily meetings with local and state authorities, and remain prepared to launch aircraft at any time to further assist in the search. To date, there has been no sign of the missing student.
