Ajo Border Patrol Agents Arrest MS-13 Gang Member

TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents from the Ajo Station arrested seven individuals Wednesday night near Lukeville for illegally entering the United States. During processing, agents discovered one of the individuals is a MS-13 gang member with an extensive criminal history.

When agents questioned Sergio Garcia, a 27-year-old Mexican national, about his multiple gang-related tattoos, he admitted to being a MS-13 gang member. Agents also learned his criminal history includes vandalism, evading a peace officer, and multiple convictions for contempt in court in California.

Garcia, along with five others, faces criminal charges for illegal re-entry into the U.S. One is being processed for expedited removal.
