TUCSON, Ariz. – Air Interdiction agents aboard an Air & Marine Operations helicopter Wednesday evening reported seeing what appeared to be a deceased individual hanging from a tree near the village of Santa Cruz on the Tohono O’odham Nation.
Border Patrol agents on the ground responded to the scene and confirmed that what the AMO crew suspected was, in fact, a deceased person hanging from a tree. Agents maintained custody of the scene until Tohono O’odham Police Department officers arrived and took charge of investigating the incident. No further information is available at this time.
