La Grulla, Texas - U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande City station found 89 pounds of marijuana
strapped to an abandoned motorcycle early Sunday morning near the Rio Grande River.
Agents patrolling the river area found the motorcycle on the side of the road with eight bundles of marijuana tied to its seat. The operator of the motorcycle was not located, and agents are unsure why the load was abandoned. The marijuana has an estimated value of $71,200.
The narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
