“Apprehensions like these highlight our border security efforts and the threats our nation faces,” said Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Matthew J. On Sept. 23, Border Patrol agents from the Eagle Pass South Station arrested Mexican national Ramiro Castanon-Arredondo, 28, for illegal entry into the United States. In a separate incident on Sept. 23, agents from the Uvalde Station arrested Honduran national Carlos Garcia-Serrano, 28, for illegal entry into the United States. Records checks revealed Garcia-Serrano was convicted of sex with a minor in Los Angeles in 2011 and was removed from the United States in February 2013.
