JACKMAN, Me. — On September 3, 2018, U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Jackman Border Patrol Station arrested five Guatemalan nationals along U.S. Route 201, near Jackman.
During the immigration inspection, agents determined that all five subjects were nationals of Guatemala without legal status to be or remain in the United States. All five were placed under arrest and transported to the Jackman Border Patrol Station for further processing.
The five Guatemalan nationals are being charged with 8 USC 1325, Improper Entry by Alien. The United States Attorney, District of Maine, will conduct prosecutions of the five.
“These arrests are a solid example of excellent Border Patrol work,” said Jackman Station Patrol Agent in Charge Jeffrey Ewing. “The well trained, keen eyes of our agents continue to keep our border areas safe for Mainers and more broadly, for the United States.”
