Worklife Webinars

CBP worklife balance services include live-talk and on-demand webinars available to CBP employees and their family members through LifeCare. Webinar topics span a wide-range of life events and offer insights, strategies, and information designed to help our employees meet the challenges they might be facing. If you cannot attend the live webinars, you can still register to receive an on-demand recording to watch at your leisure.
 

How to Access or Register

Employees and their family members can use the complimentary access button below to access webinars and limited features without registering for a membership account. Complimentary access may not provide access to all LifeCare features and services.

Complimentary Access

Employees already registered for CBP Backup Care services or with LifeCare will use their membership screen name and password to access webinars. Employees can also use their government email address to register for a membership account or personalized complimentary access.

Each month employees and family members can participate in Care Talk events focused on parenting, caregiving, resiliency, and personal health. If you cannot attend the live family care webinars, you can still register to receive an on-demand recording to watch at your leisure.
 

Caring for Aging Loved Ones

Declutter Your Older Loved Ones Home: Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time

Part of well home design is removing obstacles to better health.  We'll share tips on how to use principles from popular shows but with a twist for seniors living at home. This talk also talks about "visitability" which is how to make your home age-friendly for visiting relatives and how to help seniors with "solastalgia" the latest mental health issue for older adults based on living spaces.

Legal and Financial Wellness Check-Up: Wednesday, April 19, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time

This talk will discuss locating and organizing important documents, executing or updating important legal documents (e.g., wills, trusts, advance directives, guardianships/conservatorships), finding an elder care attorney, understanding costs of care for home care and senior living and planning for your own future.

Confident Parenting

Summer Planning for Families: Wednesday, March 22, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time

This talk covers summer planning ideas for families, including childcare, summer camps, and how to support teens with their summer jobs. Suggestions for maintaining balance and health and safety concerns due to COVID-19 will also be discussed.  

Teaching Children About Money: Wednesday, April 26, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m. Eastern Time

This talk covers how to teach children about money by looking at our own money values and how we communicate about money. We will discuss setting goals, spending and saving strategies.

This talk walks participants through the various tools to enhance our lives. It reminds and teaches us the importance of prioritizing our mental and physical health. Participants will review best practices and to add to this critical tool kit.
