National Vetting Center (NVC) Fact Sheet
On Feb. 6, 2018, the National Vetting Center (NVC) was established through National Security Presidential Memorandum-9 (NSPM-9). The NVC is an essential and long-awaited component of the U.S. government’s national vetting enterprise. It furthers the 9/11 Commission’s recommendations to enhance interagency collaboration to provide a clearer picture of threats against the U.S. and enables agencies to make informed decisions and take critical actions to ensure the safety of the American people.
