Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) Addressing Proposed Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair Along the U.S./Mexico International Border in New Mexico

CBP announces that a Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) Addressing Proposed Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair Along the U.S./Mexico International Border in New Mexico have been prepared and are now available for public review. The EA and FONSI document a review of the potential environmental and socioeconomic effects associated with the proposed maintenance and repair of existing tactical infrastructure within the U.S. Border Patrol’s El Paso Sector along the U.S./Mexico international border in New Mexico (i.e., the Proposed Action).

Based on the Final EA Addressing Proposed Tactical Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair Along the U.S./Mexico International Border in New Mexico, a determination was made that the proposed action will not significantly affect the human environment and that further analysis is not required. Therefore, a FONSI was issued, and an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
