U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Laredo South All Weather Road. CBP has prepared the Draft EA to identify and assess the potential impacts associated with the proposed repair and maintenance of the Laredo South All Weather Road and improve access along its entire length. The Proposed Action would improve visibility, shorten transit and response times for USBP agents, ensure the long-term viability of the road, enhance security, and provide a safe and efficient patrol and movement corridor for USBP agents and support staff.
CBP invites comments on the Draft EA during the 45-day comment period. In order for comments to be considered in the Final EA, comments on the Draft EA must be received by March 4, 2016. Please use only one of the following methods to submit comments:
