U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces the availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Communications Tower Replacement (TX13487) project. CBP has prepared a Draft EA to identify and assess the potential environmental and socioeconomic impacts associated with the lease, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of a new Communication Tower (TX13487) and the decommissioning of the existing tower and supporting infrastructure located approximately 500-feet west of the replacement tower at a location in Border Patrol’s Rio Grande Valley Sector, Falfurrias Station, Falfurrias, Texas.

CBP invites comments on the Draft EA during a 30-day comment period that has been extended until August 31, 2023. The Draft EA can be accessed by the accompanying link on this page.  Comments may be submitted using one of the following methods:
