The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) participate with the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization in monthly small business Vendor Outreach Sessions (VOS). These one-on-one sessions enable the CBP staff to meet with small, 8(a), HUBZone small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, veteran-owned small and service disabled veteran owned small businesses to discuss their capabilities statement, learn about potential procurement opportunities as well as give advice. In addition, the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) provide training programs and seminars to assist the business community. For more information, please visit the GSA website and the SBA website.
The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Small Business Programs, in conjunction with its bureau Small Business Specialists and Small Business Specialists from other agencies, sponsors a series of small business vendor outreach sessions (VOS). The purpose of these sessions is to provide the small business community the opportunity to meet with Small Business Specialists to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. VOS Sessions are held monthly at the Holiday Inn Capitol Columbia Ballroom located at 6th and D Street Washington, DC 20024.
