Prescreening Questionnaire for Air Interdiction Agents

Pursuant to the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. § 552a(e)(3) this statement provides notice of how U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) uses the personally identifiable information collected on this site.

Purpose: The purpose of this questionnaire is to collect certain pre-screening information from potential applicants in order for CBP to determine if an applicant meets the criteria to become an Air Interdiction Agent.

Authority: CBP is authorized to collect and maintain this information under 5 U.S. Code § 302 - Delegation of authority; 44 U.S. Code § 3101 - Records management by agency heads; general duties; and Executive Order 13767, Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements (January 25, 2017). If necessary, and usually in conjunction with other employment forms, this electronic pre-screening of applicants may be used to determine your eligibility for employment, and it may be disclosed to authorized officials within CBP making similar or subsequent determinations.

Routine Uses: In general, CBP will not use the information you provide for any reasons other than those identified in the purpose portion of this statement, and will not share this information within or outside the agency. In certain circumstances, DHS may share this information on a case-by-case basis as required by law or necessary for a specific purpose, as described in DHS/CBP-025 National Frontline Recruitment and Hiring System of Records, June 11, 2018, 83 FR 27014, available at:

Consequences for failure to provide information: Providing this information is voluntary. However, failure to provide this information may result in a delay in determining your eligibility for employment, and an applicant may ultimately be found ineligible for employment.
