Prepare Now for November Transition to ACE for Entry/Entry Summary Filing

With the November 1 mandatory date quickly approaching, members throughout the trade community must understand how they will be impacted and prepare accordingly. On November 1, 2015, ACE will become CBP’s official system of record for all electronically transmitted entry and corresponding entry summary data.  Filers who are not prepared to file entries/entry summaries in ACE on November 1 could face delays in cargo processing, impacting release of goods at the border since entries/entry summaries not filed in ACE will be filed as paper transactions.

To prepare accordingly, please check the list of certified Automated Broker Interface (ABI) software vendors periodically for updates. This document specifies the CBP systems for which the vendor is certified to file ABI transactions (such as ACE Entry Summary, ACE Cargo Release, etc.). Once you have ensured your software is compatible with ACE, contact your assigned Client Representative to begin the transition process.

CBP is focused on getting remaining software vendors certified for entry filing. 36 of 38 vendors already certified for entry summary; 21 of 38 certified for entry. Targets have been established to get vendors and filers certified in advance of November 1, 2015. For details about the mandatory use dates, please click here.
