Regulatory Audit Field Offices

Regulatory Audit Field and Branch Offices are responsible for auditing major importers and other entities involved in international trade compliance with laws and regulations governing the importation and exportation of merchandise.

The Atlanta Field Office consists of five branches with staffing resources located in Atlanta, GA, Fort Mitchell, KY, and Nashville, TN. This office provides specialization in the areas of Import Safety, and Express Couriers. In addition, this office maintains subject matter expertise for Importer Self Assessment .

The Boston Field Office consists of four branches with staffing resources located in Boston, MA, Buffalo, NY, and Detroit, MI. The Boston Field Office provides specialization in the area of Focused Assessments. In addition, the Boston Field Office maintains subject matter expertise for the regulatory audit program management area.

The Charlotte Field Office consists of four branches with staffing resources located in Charlotte, NC and Baltimore, MD. The Charlotte Field Office provides specialization in the area of Anti-dumping/Countervailing Duties. In addition, the Charlotte Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in the area of Netting/Sampling procedures.

The Chicago Field Office consists of five branches with staffing resources located in Chicago, IL and Minneapolis, MN. The Chicago Field Office provides specialization in the areas of Trade Fraud and User Fees. In addition, the Chicago Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in the Regulatory Audit Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) modernization.

The Houston Field Office consists of four branches with staffing resources located in Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; and El Paso, TX. The Houston Field Office provides specialization in the areas of Importer Self-Assessment for Petroleum and the North American Free Trade Agreement. In addition, the Houston Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in petroleum related issues.

The Long Beach Field Office consists of four branches with staffing resources located in Long Beach, CA. The Long Beach Field Office provides specialization in the areas of Intellectual Property Rights and Foreign Trade Zones. In addition, the Long Beach Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in the Regulatory Audit Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) modernization.  

The Miami (Plantation) Field Office consists of two branches with staffing resources in Miami, FL. The Miami Field Office provides specialization in the areas of of Free Trade Agreements for Central and South America". In addition, the Miami Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in the area of pre-penalty assessments.

The New York Field Office consists of four branches with staffing resources located in New York City, NY and John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens, NY. The New York Field Office provides specialization in the areas of Textiles and Textile Transshipment. In addition, the New York Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in Brokers.

The Philadelphia Field Office consists of five branches with staffing resources located in Philadelphia, PA and Newark, NJ. The Philadelphia Field Office provides specialization in the areas of Drawback, Bonded Warehouses and Duty Free Shops. In addition, the Philadelphia Field Office maintains subject matter expertise in the area of Ability to Pay reviews.

The San Francisco Field Office consists of three branches with staffing resources located in San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA and San Jose, CA. The San Francisco Field Office provides specialization in the area of Focused Assessments. In addition, the San Francisco Field Office maintains subject matter expertise for Free Trade Agreements involving the Pacific Rim.
