The Advisory Committee on the Operations of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Scheduled to Meet Aug. 7

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced today that the Advisory Committee on the Operations of CBP (COAC) is scheduled to meet on Aug. 7 in Washington.

The COAC meeting is scheduled to convene from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. EST at Main Hearing Rm. 101 at the U.S. International Trade Commission, 500 E St., SW, Washington, DC 20436.

The committee is expected to hear and discuss recommendations, updates and work completed by the COAC survey team and the following subcommittees: export, trade enforcement and revenue collection, one U.S. government at the border, trusted trader, global supply chain and trade modernization.

To facilitate public participation, COAC invites public comment on the issues to be considered by the committee prior to the formulation of recommendations listed in the agenda. Comments must be submitted in writing no later than July 31, 2013, must be identified by Docket No. USCBP-2013-0027 and must be submitted either by the Federal eRulemaking Portal at regulations.gov, by email at tradeevents@dhs.gov (include the docket number in the subject line) or via fax at (202) 325-4290.
