TUCSON, Ariz. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and media availability to kick-off the opening of their newest Enrollment Center today at the Tucson International Airport. The Enrollment Centers are for processing applicants for U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Trusted Traveler Programs, such as Global Entry, SENTRI, NEXUS, and FAST. The Trusted Traveler Programs provide expedited clearance for pre-approved low-risk international travelers.
"Opening an Enrollment Center here in Tucson will provide a convenient, easy-access, local center for people to complete their trusted traveler application process. This also allows us to increase the number of appointments we can schedule, providing quicker service," said Tucson Director of Field Operations William K. Brooks. “We already have centers open in Phoenix, Douglas, Nogales, and San Luis, so it makes sense to open another centrally-located center here in Tucson.”
Members of trusted traveler programs can expect expedited processing when entering the United States through dedicated vehicle lanes at land borders or by using automated kiosks at airports. Many trusted travelers are also eligible for the TSA PreCheck Program, which provides expedited processing through TSA checkpoints.
Travelers interested in enrolling in one of CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs can learn more about the programs and apply online.
