CBP announces that a Final Environmental Assessment (EA) for Land Mobile Radio Modernization for Tactical Communications at Buck Peak, Christmas Pass, and Granite Mountain, Arizona Focus Area - and the associated Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) - have been prepared and are now available for public review.
The Final EA documents a review of the potential environmental and socioeconomic effects associated with the lease, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of land mobile radio equipment at up to three mountaintop locations. Based on the Final EA, a determination was made that the proposed action will not significantly affect the human environment and that further analysis is not required. Therefore, a FONSI was issued, and an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
