U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces that a draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) and draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) are available for public review and comment. The SEA analyzes the expansion of the Swanton Border Patrol Station (BPS) and transfer of the CBP Swanton Sector Headquarters (SHQ). Construction and operation of the Swanton BPS were addressed in an Environmental Assessment in 2008, and no significant changes in resources or impacts have occurred since that time. All proposed activities and construction will occur within the previously evaluated Swanton BPS property. The current Swanton SHQ facilities will be excessed by the General Services Administration.
CBP invites comments on the draft SEA and FONSI during the 30-day comment period beginning on October 27, 2014. Please provide comments using only one of the following methods:

When submitting comments, please include your name and address, and identify your comments as for the USBP Swanton BPS SHQ SEA and/or FONSI. To ensure consideration, comments must be received by November 25, 2014. Once the final environmental and decision documents are complete they will also be posted on this site.
