Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Proposed Coronado National Forest Road Construction Project

United States (U.S.) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed Coronado National Forest Road Construction Project. CBP has prepared a Draft EA to identify and assess the potential environmental impacts associated with the construction of approximately 4 miles of road and closure of approximately 1.2 miles of road on the Coronado National Forest near the U.S./Mexico international border west of Nogales, AZ (i.e. The Proposed Action).

CBP invites comments on the Draft EA during the 30-day comment period beginning on September 29, 2015. 

You may submit comments to Mr. Joseph Zidron using only one of the following methods:

  2. By U.S. mail to Coronado Forest Roads EA, c/o Joseph Zidron, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, 24000 Avila Road – Suite 5020, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

When submitting comments, please include your name and address, and identify your comments as for the Coronado Forest Roads EA. To ensure consideration, comments must be received by October 29, 2015. Once the final environmental and decision documents are complete they will also be posted on this site.
