Theft of Trade Secrets Clarification Act of 2012 (S.3642)

This law clarifies the language of the Economic Espionage Act  so trade secret thieves can no longer take advantage of a loophole.

No-Hassle Flying Act of 2012 (S.3542)

This Act authorizes TSA to determine whether checked baggage on a flight or flight segment originating at an airport outside the United States must be re-screened in the United States for explosives before it can continue on an additional flight or flight segment if the baggage has already been screened in the foreign airport in accordance with an aviation security preclearance agreement between the United States and the country in which the airport is located. This authority is to be exercised in coordination with CBP.

The DART Act mandates DHS to obtain an unqualified audit opinion, and improve financial accountability and management at DHS.

Jamie Zapata Border Enforcement Security Task Force Act (H.R. 915)

This Act codifies and existing partnership initiative, the Border Enforcement Security Task Force program, to enhance border security by fostering coordinated efforts among Federal, State, and local border and law enforcement officials to protection United States border cities and communities from transnational crime, including violence associated with drug trafficking, arms smuggling, illegal alien trafficking and smuggling, violence, and kidnapping along and across the international borders of the United States.

African Growth and Opportunity Act (H.R. 5986)

To amend the African Growth and Opportunity Act to extend the third-country fabric program and to add South Sudan to the list of countries eligible for designation under that Act, to make technical corrections to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States relating to the textile and apparel rules of origin for the Dominican Republic-Central America-United States Free Trade Agreement, to approve the renewal of import restrictions contained in the Burmese Freedom and Democracy Act of 2003, and for other purposes
