Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. At airports, program participants proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card, place their fingertips on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and make a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.
On July 23 and 24, 2013, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) hosted a Global Entry Mobile Enrollment Event on the Hill exclusively for Members of Congress and their staff. To receive information on future Global Entry Mobile Enrollment Events, please contact the Office of Congressional Affairs at OCAInquiry@cbp.dhs.gov or (202) 344-1760 for more information.
