On Sunday, December 29th, CBP Officer Darrell Jean Windhaus collapsed and died while boarding a ship at the Brownsville Seaport.

CBP Officer Windhaus spent more than 42 years of his professional life working for the Federal government. He served in the U.S. Army and the former U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service before becoming a CBP officer.

CBP Officer Windhaus is survived by his daughter, Rachael, brother, Steve and sister, Diane.
